The Breakfast Club and After School Club are run by Ashurst Wood School and exists to provide high quality out of school hour’s childcare for our parents/carers. It provides a range of stimulating and creative activities in a safe environment.

The Breakfast Club runs terms time, every morning in the School hall from 7.50am - 8.50am.

The children are able to choose a healthy breakfast from a selection of cereal, juices, toast, waffles and more.  Breakfast is served up until 8.30am.

They then enjoy a range of activities such as art & craft, construction, board games, puzzles or simply relaxing with a good book before School.  At 8.50am the children are taken to their classrooms ready for the start of the School day.

Breakfast Club costs £5.00 per child per session including breakfast, with a 10% discount for siblings.

Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club Policy

We offer a wide range of clubs which vary each term and are run after School as well at lunch times.

All children are encouraged to learn a musical instrument and as part of our music curriculum children learn to play instruments such as the ukulele and glockenspiel. Children can also learn an instrument through the County's music teachers. We currently have children learning the saxophone, recorder and clarinet.

In the last year we have offered:

  • Podcasting Club
  • Art Club
  • Football
  • Tennis
  • Karate
  • Dance club
  • Film club
  • Netball
  • Rounders.

Clubs are often over-subscribed and places are offered on a first come first served basis.  Please give consent and pay via the MCAS App.

For clubs run by outside providers please give consent and make payment directly to them.

Suitable arrangements must be made for the safe collection of children. For sporting activities, the appropriate kit must be worn.
